At Ego, we firmly believe that businesses have a greater responsibility than simply making sure their customers are happy. We believe we have a responsibility to our suppliers, to the communities we work in, and to the wider environment. And it’s a responsibility we take very seriously.

We take great care to minimise the impact we have on the environment. All our waste material goes to a specialist waste management company that ensures that everything that can be recycled is recycled, and that what can’t is managed in the most appropriate way. We’re also constantly working to find more energy efficient solutions in everything we do.

We believe in supporting the local community, so wherever possible we’ll buy produce from local suppliers. Not only does that mean we get fresher produce, it also helps other local businesses and minimises the energy used in transport.

We’re keen to build closer relationships with all the communities we work in. By offering work-experience placements to local youngsters we’re able to give them the opportunity to see what it’s like to work in the restaurant trade.

We believe that a restaurant should be much more than just another business. It’s a place where people come to relax and to spend time with family and friends - so it’s really a part of the community.
