I recently visited the Liverpool restaurant for my birthday lunch with my husband and our 3 year old son. The food was great, the children's menu superb (he had the salmon!), the service was impeccable but what impressed me most was the simple fact that my son was given children's cutlery to eat with. We have eaten out many times at supposed "child friendly" restaurants but not once has this ever happened. Yes crayons and fun packs are a welcome distraction but it was this very basic service which impressed me the most. Thank you for making my birthday so special! Colette Thomlinson, Liverpool

I've just got back from a meal at Liverpool where myself and my partner were celebrating my birthday. The food was wonderful, I had the chicken tajine and it was the nicest meal I've had in god know how long, my partner had lamb rump which was cooked perfectly, the service was also first class, from the minute we walked in the waitress couldn't have been more helpful, friendlier or more accommodating, I just wanted to say a big thank you for a wonderful evening, we will definitely be back soon. I just wanted to compliment you on your Liverpool Ego restaurant. We have been a few times now and really enjoy the food,the ambience and the staff - who do a great job of welcoming us to the restaurant. Just one downside from our recent visit was the unavailability of any Sancerre wine on the evening - very disappointing! But all in all, it's rapidly becoming our favourite restaurant so well done!
